Big blasts bring people to their feet, and Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers certainly provided a bunch of entertainment on Sunday at Sunset Lower three home runs powered Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers to a 9-4 victory in seven innings over Scarborough Force.
Marshall Kronk racked up two RBIs on two hits for Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.
Devon McCuellough pitched lights out for Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers. Scarborough Force managed just one hit off of McCuellough, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his 2 1/3 innings of work.
Andy Skelton racked up three RBIs on one hit for Scarborough Force. He homered in the fifth inning.
Jorge Sequna got the win for Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers. He allowed four runs over 4 2/3 innings. Jorge Sequna struck out three, walked four and gave up six hits.
Erick Urbaneja was charged with the loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers never trailed after scoring six runs in the third on two two-run home runs and an RBI single by Mingo Varela.
After pushing across four runs in the bottom of the fifth, Scarborough Force faced just a 7-4 deficit. A wild pitch and a three-run home run by Skelton fueled Scarborough Force’s comeback. The Scarborough Force threat came to an end when Devon McCuellough finally got Erick Urbaneja to strike out.
Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers got one-run rallies in the sixth inning and the seventh. In the sixth, Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers scored on a solo home run by Kennedy.
