This was the biggest game of the tournament so far. #1 ranked New Zealand vs. #2 ranked Canada. The crowd was estimated at 5000+, and was electric all night long. Fans arrived FOUR HOURS ahead of time for a good seat. The local hosts pulled out the stops and brought in even more seating. The two teams did not disappoint.
Said Sasketchewan fastball fan Tony Pellerin:
Holy h***! That has to be one of the most entertaining ball games I’ve seen. Way to go #YPA Prince Albert! That facility was packed and @SoftballCanada gave us one hell of a game against a very, very good New Zealand team.
