BEAUMONT, CA – The Beaumont Coyotes men’s fastpitch softball team – led by David Valdivia, Sr. – has hosted the Coyotes Fourth of July Tournament since 1977, and will again this year for the 34th consecutive time from Friday through Sunday.
The tournament is a family affair as Valdivia’s from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and grandchildren, help out in the tournament grooming the fields, announcing the games, and making fantastic Mexican food the entire celebratory weekend.
To read about last year’s event and see some FANTASTIC photography of the Valdivia family and Rangel Park where the tournament has always been held, visit my website for the stories and links.
www.ottoinfocus.comIf the fastpitch world and Southern California had more David Valdivia’s, the sport would still be prospering.
Hope to see some of you at Rangel Park this weekend. For those with an appetite, the taco plate prepared by David’s aunts is fantastic!
