Tyler is a Senior at Mankato West High School in Mankato, MN where he is a 2 time captain of the baseball team and was also captain of the basketball team. The leading hitter for Mankato West as a Junior, Stoffel hit .403 and was named to the Big 9 All Conference Team as a shortstop. In addition to his high school athletic achievements, Tyler is an 11 time National Champion in handball (singles and doubles combined) and recently finished 2nd at the World Championship. He plans to attend Mankato State University in the Fall where he will look to compete on both the baseball and handball teams.
At the 2013 ASA 18U Nationals, his strong defense and timely hitting helped County Materials of Marathon, WI. capture their 2nd straight National Championship. Stoffel is expected to carry on this same role as a shortstop for Team USA in Whitehorse.
When asked the key to success for the 2014 team, Tyler believes that working and competing harder than everyone else and leaving everything on the field every game will lead to success.
