In case you haven't heard, the California ASA in their Oct. meeting put this policy in place. It might impact SCIFL pitchers:

4. Pitchers that live and work outside Region 14 or pitch in another softball association will be rated Major until they submit a letter to the Region 14 Classification committee PRIOR to participating in championship play for a team in Region 14 each season. This letter must include team(s) played for, the level at which they played, and any statistics (team & individual) for the last three years.

I don't know if the Amateur Slowpitch Association is being vindictive because they are not represented in SoCal but anyone who wants to go to the NAFA WS and the ASA (semi)Nationals Rolling Eyes might need to talk to Vicki Oltean, (760) 323-8272. I'd hate to see anyone get blind-sided.
