To many, RSS (Real Simple Syndication) blog feeds are still Greek.
Leave it to the geniuses at Google to simplify RSS for you. They just rolled out their RSS "Reader" today.
http://reader.google.com
We'll leave the explanations to Google, but the short version is that Google Reader gives you a way to see what updates have been posted to your favorite blogs -- like Morning Brief and The Deuce.
Add in the RSS feed URL for your favorite baseball site and keep up with the playoffs while you're at it.
Instead of clicking around to see which of your favorite blogs or websites have been updated, just visit your http://reader.google.com, and it will display the excerpts to show you.
p.s. When you get to the blank line to "Add a Feed", copy and paste these (one at a time):

http://fastpitchwest.com/thedeuce/wp-rss2.php
Be sure to click "Subscribe" button. |

If you aren't sure about RSS or Google's new RSS Reader, here is a good online tutorial that will walk you through it.
http://andywibbels.com/flash/google_reader.htm
It's a flash tutorial, meaning you can just click the "Forward" button and sit back and watch. If and when you get ready and want to subscribe to either or both of our two blog RSS feeds, "The Morning Brief" or "The Deuce" (our blog devoted to ISC II coverage), you'll type those words in place of "New York Times" used in the tutorial. |

If you have followed this thread, you know a little bit about "RSS".
If you tried the Google Reader as your RSS Reader, and didn't like the interface, you might want to see the new and improved. It has that "Google" feel to it, reads almost like email --err -- Gmail.
If you use Gmail, it's even easier to give it a look. Click that "all my services" link for quick access to the Reader.

Remember you can get RSS feeds from both our blogs, Morning Brief and The Deuce. Look for the RSS link on the right hand side of each. |
