The 8th Annual Snapper Shootout schedule is set. The Shootout’s first pitch will take place on Friday June 3 at 6:45pm with games continuing Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday at Ker Park in Niagara Falls, ON. <\/p>\n

With the recent loss of two teams we considered several options with regards to the tournament format and ultimately we feel this if the best scenario when you have a 14 team field. We considered dropping to 12 teams in hopes of keeping a divisional format intact but it didn’t seem right to eliminate two teams. Another consideration was to stay with divisions and just have an unbalanced number of teams in each division but it was a scheduling nightmare.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Rob Greatrix of the Fury for helping out with the formula for a 14 team, 3 game guarantee that will still allow 12 teams to make the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Teams were seeded and slotted into the scheduling formula. After reviewing the balance of schedules from team to team, they appear to be very balanced and considering the quality of the teams attending, everyone’s schedule appears pretty tough.<\/p>\n

I appreciate everyone’s patience with the delays in releasing the schedule. Thanks again.<\/p>\n
