The 37 attendees will vie for 17 spots on the 2011 USA Softball Women\u2019s National Team which will be announced on Friday, June 17. <\/p>\n<p>The approximately 17 athletes selected to the USA Softball roster will compete in six different events in three countries. Fans in the United States will get four opportunities to see the team in action with three exhibition stops scheduled as well as the World Cup of Softball VI, July 21-25, in Oklahoma City. For ticket information on the World Cup as well as the tour stops in Plant City, Fla., Salem, Va., and Bowie, Md., go to www.usasoftball.com. <\/p>\n<p>The 2011 Women\u2019s National Team will also seek the program\u2019s eighth Pan American Championship title at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Oct. 17-23. <\/p>\n<p>Below are the eight athletes who recently accepted the invitation to compete for a spot on the 2011 USA Softball Women\u2019s National Team: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nAshley Brignac (River Ridge, La.\/ULL)<br \/>\nKaylyn Castillo (Norco, Calif.\/Arizona State)<br \/>\nCheyenne Coyle (West Hills, Calif.\/Florida)<br \/>\nKelly Grieve (Asheville, N.C.\/Tennessee)<br \/>\nJolene Henderson (Elk Grove, Calif.\/California)<br \/>\nAnnie Lockwood (Phoenix, Ariz.\/Arizona State)<br \/>\nJen Mineau (Schaghticoke, N.Y.\/Fordham)<br \/>\nChristine Orgeron (New Orleans, La.\/ULL) <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fordhamsports.com\/sports\/w-softbl\/spec-rel\/053111aaa.html\">From Fordham Sports<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nThe invitations were sent out and Fordham&#8217;s junior pitcher, Jen Mineau, was among the invitees to earn a chance to compete with the USA Softball Women&#8217;s National Team, it was announced on Friday, May 27 by the Amateur Softball Association of America. Mineau is the only Rams&#8217; player (and lone Atlantic 10 representative) to receive an opportunity with the team.
