The Cardinals and the Lightning battled in extra innings before it was decided by a 2 run home run by Dean Waltier in the top of the 9th inning. The Cardinals team were led by pitchers Maxi Montero and Brady Woods.<br \/>\nBoth pitchers pitched extremely well but Maxi Montero was a major reason for the win in the championship game.
