The recent decision this last weekend by ASA to allow the new 2013 ASA slowpitch legal bat models to be used at the ASA Men\u2019s Major Fastpitch National in Indiana indicates these bats are safe for adult fastpitch.<br \/>\nNAFAconvened the Executive Committee at 8 p.m. Monday by conference call and quickly approved these models for adult fastpitch.<\/p>\n<p>This is an excerpt the Major National Coaches received from ASA:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to the low availability of new bat models with the 2004 Certification Mark on bats that are of the required weights for the Men\u2019s Fast Pitch game \u2013 the following statement will occur for the Men\u2019s Major Fast Pitch National Championship Finals:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the Men\u2019s Major Fast Pitch National Championship Finals, bats with the new ASA Certification Mark on them and listed on the ASA Approved Bat list will be allowed in this event.
