YAKIMA, Wash. \u2014 Joey Robbins was named the tournament\u2019s most valuable pitcher and Cody Wagner earned overall MVP honors as returning champion JRW & Associates swept five games to capture the Rose Cup fastpitch tournament in Portland over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Robbins struck out 17 and allowed just one earned run in his 11 innings, while Wagner went 7-for-13 (.538) and drove in four runs, including a two-run, eighth-inning homer in a 4-3 victory over K-Club of Bremerton. Robbins was the winner in both that game and the title game, a 2-1 triumph over the C.R. Rockers of Portland that ended after four innings because of a torrential downpour.<\/p>\n

For JRW & Associates (14-5 overall), the tourney championship over Fathers Day Weekend was appropriate: The team has three father-and-son combinations in the lineup.
