This year the Las Vegas Road Trip X will have 42 teams in total; the most ever participating in the event. Teams from Canada, Mexico, and the United States are all represented in this tournament.<\/p>\n

The tournament will be using NAFA rules along with special rules. Teams will have the option to bat up to 10 players using the Extra Hitter (EH), a Designated Runner (DR), and a Courtesy Runner (CR) may be used for the pitcher or catcher ONLY but it must be the last recorded out.<\/p>\n

All divisions will use the 3-game guarantee NAFA bracket. The championship games are scheduled for 3:00 PM<\/span><\/span> on Sunday<\/span><\/span> with “IF” games immediately after if necessary. Please keep in mind that with any tournament(s) the scheduled times and games may be push back a bit during the course of the day so please plan flights accordingly.<\/p>\n

If your normal routine is to have a conference with all your players before the first pitch, please do that before the coin flip or better yet, while the game before you is in play so we can keep games running as close to on-time as possible. The umpires will be instructed to get you moving and start the game without wasting anytime.\u00a0 Also, keep your teams moving in and out of the dugouts as quickly as possible.\u00a0 The courtesy runner for the catcher is there for a reason, to get their gear on while the inning is in play and not after the last out.<\/p>\n

The USA Softball Bat Testing & Certification Program along with compression testing will be utilized in this tournament \u2013 NAFA 2017 tamper proof decal stickers will be provided for passing bats.<\/p>\n

Bat testing will be conducted at Sunset Park fields 11, 12, 13, 14 and in order for the bat to receive a tamper proof decal sticker it must meet the USA Softball Bat Testing & Certification Program by having 1) the ASA certification mark, 2) is not on the Non-Approved Bat List<\/a>, and 3) passes compression.<\/p>\n

Once the bat passes its testing it will be given an NAFA 2017 tamper proof decal sticker. Bats without a NAFA 2017 tamper proof decal sticker will not be allowed in the game. Players should not try to take the tamper proof decal sticker off because any bat with a sticker that looks like it\u2019s been tampered with will not be allowed in play.<\/p>\n

Sunset Park – Fields 11,12,13 &14 <\/b>

\nLink to Park<\/a>\u00a0– Note that we are playing on the fields off Eastern Ave., South of Sunset Park Road.\u00a0 Park in the lot South of the fields.<\/p>\n

Warm Springs Park – Fields 8, 9 & 10<\/b>

\nLink to Park<\/a>\u00a0– Please take precautions when parking your car as some of the spaces are close to the fields.<\/p>\n

This tournament will be selling t-shirts this year which will include the team\u2019s name. Please review the spelling to ensure it is printed correctly because the shirts will be printed in advance. Please let me know if a name correction is required. If I do not hear from you it will be assumed that the team\u2019s name is correctly spelled.\u00a0 Please advise no later than March 3rd<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

All teams have paid their entry fee allowing the schedule to be set earlier than the years before. Here is the schedule for all the divisions.<\/p>\n

Please help keep tournament costs down by booking at Arizona Charlie\u2019s Boulder. If your team books at least five (5) rooms and stays at our host hotel on Friday<\/span><\/span> and Saturday<\/span><\/span> nights you will receive $25 back on your entry fee. Plus, booking with Arizona Charlie\u2019s you will receive a special rate of $50 per night for Friday<\/span><\/span> and Saturday<\/span><\/span> and $35 for Thursday<\/span><\/span> and Sunday<\/span><\/span> nights if you book directly with the hotel by calling 800-362-4040<\/a> and referencing code C-SCIFL or mention So Cal Independent Fast Pitch League. In order to receive this rate you must book by midnight<\/span><\/span> of cut-off date March 23, 2017<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Rooms booked any other way (Priceline, Expedia, etc\u2026) cannot be confirmed through the hotel and are not used toward our count and you will not receive the team credit if you book five rooms or more. If you need to book more than three (3) rooms on the same credit card, please contact Kathy Brennan at 702-951-5942<\/a> in the group sales department and she will be more than happy to assist you. Also, if the 800 say\u2019s they do not have the SCIFL listing, please call Kathy to book your room. If she is not there, leave a message and she will get back to you.<\/p>\n

Please confirm you received your game times, your team name is spelled correctly, and for those teams that have not provided a roster please do so now.<\/p>\n
