[Salt Lake City, UT] – Team USA Junior Men’s team will headline the field of teams for
\nthe inaugural Carl Hansen-Page Brake Invitational men’s fastpitch tournament in Salt Lake City, July 14 & 15.<\/p>\n

The tournament is being staged as a fundraiser for Kings (Salt Lake) and Page Brake’s 18 & Under boys team (Salt Lake) and to showcase Team USA’s Junior Men’s Team, preparing for the ISF World Championships in Canada in 2008.<\/p>\n

With three berths already taken, 9 berths remain for this 12-team event. Here are details:<\/p>\n

July 14 (Saturday) round robin games will be played at Sunnyside Park in Salt Lake City.
\nJuly 15 (Sunday) 12-team single elimination bracket games will be played at Cottonwood Complex<\/p>\n

$350 entry fee payable to Les Vaughan and mailed to Les Vaughan – 262 E. 1950 S. – Bountiful, UT 84010.<\/p>\n

4-game guarantee (3 in round robin and at least 1 in bracket play) Tournament is open as far as team classifications are concerned.<\/p>\n

ASA sanction and rules.<\/p>\n

Awards:
\nChampions – Trophy and individual T-shirts for players
\nRunner Up – T-shirts or cap for players
\nMVP – Glove
\nMV Pitcher – Jacket or cleats
\nLeading Hitter – Bat
\nCarl Hansen Sportsmanship Award (individual) – Jacket<\/p>\n

Rules:
\nRound robin games will have a 1:45 time limit and 7 after 5 innings
\nmercy rule
\nBracket games will have a 7 after 5 innings mercy rule<\/p>\n
