\nJapan run-rules USA 12-2 in opening game of playoffs at ISF Men\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s World Cup<\/strong><\/p>\n

PRAGUE, CZ—Japan advanced to the championship game of the ISF
\nWorldCup with a resounding 12-2 five inning win over the USA
\nMen\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s NationalTeam on Saturday evening before a crowd of more
\nthan 1,200 people.<\/p>\n

Japanwhich had lost earlier to the United Statesin round robin,
\nrocked two USApitchers for 12 runs and 11 hits, including five
\ninfield singles, to advance toSunday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s championship round.<\/p>\n

The USA, meanwhile, collected only five hits off two Japanese
\npitchers and will face Venezuela Sunday at 2 p.m. with the winner advancing
\nto face Japanin the championship final. Venezuela(8-1) shutout
\nDeMo EHS (5-4) of the Netherlands, 8-0 in the earlier playoff
\ngame to advance.<\/p>\n

Japan pounded USA pitchers TravisPrice (Santa Ana, Calif.and Sonny
\nPerkins (St. Michael\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s, Ariz.for 11 hits. Price hurled the first
\nthree innings, allowing seven runs and seven hits in the third
\ninning. Perkins entered the game in the fourth inning and allowed
\nfive runs on four hits.<\/p>\n

The seven run Japan third included a solo homer by shortstop Ryuji
\nHazeyama. Left fielder Kiensakus Nishio also had a single in the
\ninning and scored a run.<\/p>\n

Japanused two pitchers to limit the USAto a run in the third
\ninning on an RBI single by catcher Frank DeGroat (Ringwood, N.J.)
\nand asolo homer to right center by Chris Miljavac (St. Joseph,
\nMo.in the fifth inning.<\/p>\n

Miljavac, who had a single in the third inning and was the only
\nUSA player with at least two hits, hit his firsthomer of the
\nWorld Cup off Japanhurler Tatsuya Hamaguchi, who entered the
\ngame for starter Kazutaka Murasato inthe fifth inning. Murasato
\nhurled the first four innings allowing one run on fourhits. Hamaguchi
\nhurled the last inning and surrendered one hit and the second
\nUSArun.<\/p>\n

Venezuela beat Decos EHS in semi finals 8-0 and Japan beats USA
\n12-2 in a mercy rule 5 inning game.<\/p>\n

Decos EHS finishes fourth and finishes as the top European Team
\nbeating Czech Republic, Denmark, Tenerife, Zaragoza and Prague
\nStars.<\/p>\n

Japan is in in the final beating USA 12-2 and USA and Venezuela
\nwill play for the second spot in the final.<\/p>\n
