The Cannons from Courtenay, British Columbia, jumped out to a 2 – 0 lead in the bottom of the third inning on a 2-run home run by the Cannon first baseman Brad Douglas. The Cannons extended their lead to 5 – 0 in the bottom of the 5th inning on 4 consecutive hits. Left fielder, Kyle Law, lead off the inning with a triple. Right fielder, Michael Pohl, followed with a double to drive in Law. Brad Douglas then singled to drive in Pohl. Center fielder Tyler Douglas completed the scoring by driving in his brother Brad. However, Cleons Auto would not give up. In the 7th inning, as the Cannons Joe Robbins (Tournament MV-Pitcher) began to tire and yielded a couple of walks, Cleons Auto came back with 3 runs highlighted by Sean Praven’s 2-run single. Robbins recoved to get the last 3 outs and wrap up the Championship for the Cannons.<\/p>\n
The hard fought Championship Game featured each team’s workhorse pitcher.
