Matt Hill on third stayed put and didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t tag up.<br \/>\nAndrew Putham (2-3, run scored), Rob Bennett (1-3, run scored,<br \/>\nRBI), and Rob Clayton (2-3, runs cored) powered the offense.<br \/>\nBrad Ezekiel (2-3, run scored) Ryan Boland (1-2, runs cored)<br \/>\nand pinch hitter Shane O\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Brien (1-1, rbi double) led NL.<br \/>\n&#8220;I faced these guys last year and they had my number,&#8221; Putham<br \/>\nsaid. &#8220;For this game, I just wanted to get ahead of them.&#8221;<br \/>\nTop player for the championship rond, Brandon Horn, 1-for-3 in<br \/>\nthe contest, was happy with the game.<br \/>\n&#8220;I just wanted to get on base and allow my teammates to cash<br \/>\nme in,&#8221;I just tried to get the bat on the ball.<br \/>\nScarborough coach Ryan Freedman was very excited with the result,<br \/>\nhaving lost twice earlier to the NL team.<br \/>\n&#8220;It was the closest final I have ever been in,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\nSean Cleary suffered the loss, going the distance striking out<br \/>\n11.<br \/>\nIn the semifinal Sunday morning, Matt Leahy threw six innings<br \/>\nof one hit ball, fanning eight and walking one batter and Cam<br \/>\nHaulk drove in two runs as the Scarborough Wolverines advanced<br \/>\nto the championship game with a 4-0 win over Elmira Advance Millwright.<br \/>\nThe Wolverines win sets up a third meeting between Scarborough<br \/>\nand Kelly\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Pub Canadians of Newfoundland and Labrador, last<br \/>\nyear\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s champions. The other two meetings were wins, 7-3 and 6-3<br \/>\nby the NL squad. Saturday they beat Scarborough 6-3 in extra<br \/>\ninnings to advance straight to the final.<br \/>\nBrandon Horn (1-3, run scored, RBI), Nick Dambrosio (2-3, RBI)<br \/>\nand Rob Bennett (1-3, run scored) led the attack.<br \/>\nBen Tee (1-2) had Elmira\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s lone hit<br \/>\nAndrew Putnam pitched an inning of no hit ball, striking out<br \/>\ntwo in relief.
