Monstrous thunder and many lightning strikes with major downpours currently occurring. The tournament is delayed with the lightning warning alarm system sounding to clear the fields\/areas for minimum :30. The games are appx. 4 hours behind. Fields have to be soaked!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rocker’s latest game report from Kary Moore:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The River City Rocker squad led by coaches Paul Carelton and 6-time champion Ben Herrera mercied Tiffany’s of Michigan 9-1 in 5 innings. Ed Gaspar picked up the complete game win vs. Michigan. Scott Harrison, CF, Mario Pereira, 3B and Greg Rogers, C all clubbed homers; Mike Abernathy added a triple and Mark Summers and Kary Moore added RBI’s to lead the balanced offensive attack.<\/p>\n

Florida Fastpitch beat Cruces of New Mexico 2-1 to advance in the loser’s bracket and now the Rockers (2-1) face Florida Fastpitch (2-1) next in an elimination game at 3 pm. <\/p>\n
