Editor’s notes: <\/strong> The Bombers had an outstanding 2007 season, winning the prestigious Monkton tournament, and going on to knock off Broken Bow and advance to the ISC World Tournament final, falling only to the eventual World Champions, The Farm Tavern of Madison, Wisconsin. <\/p>\n

Skipper Kelly McGiffin and his coaching staff of Rob Schick and Doug Chase will all be returning in 2008, lending stability to the program, despite the large number of roster moves.<\/p>\n

The 2008 additions of pitcher Rob O’Brien and Team USA player Chad Boom certainly catch your eye, but so does the absence of a number of players from the 2007 roster. Three-fourths of the pitching staff (Peeples, Whitten, and Tilley) is gone, but ace Lucas Mata, who took them to the next level at Monkton and last year’s World Tournament will be back, joined by Rob O’Brien, who pitched in last year’s World Tournament with the Orillia Riversharks. <\/p>\n

Whitten is headed to Horse Lake Thunder, and we hear that Peeps will be with that oft-rumored-yet-to-be confirmed squad, while no info on Darryl Tilley. Eduardo Leonard adds a solid stick in the middle of the order. But the losses of LaLonde, second-team all-world catcher Ghostkeeper, and Potskin will surely be felt. <\/p>\n
