It grew quickly to 16, 24, 28, and finally a full 32 team bracket for the past several years. Fastpitchwest, Maddysphotos and Ballparkradio have had the privilege of covering the event since 2004, and we’ll be there in 2009, our sixth consecutive year, for the biggest AAU tournament ever, bursting at the seams with forty (count ’em, 40) teams. The broadcast program on Ballparkradio grew dramatically last year, to a ten game schedule, with the Kyle Smith, Blair Setford and Billy Hillhouse in the booth. Haven’t drawn the broadcast schedule for 2009 yet, but we’ll post when we do.
