The key advantage heading into the weekend’s elimination round is earning “double life”. With only six round-robin games to play, six of the teams are still in contention for the coveted additional life-line.

Brookfield Elks (3-2) currently hold the 4th double life, play twice today and maintain their own destiny. Vancouver and Charlottetown (both 2-3) tangle in the 4 pm game that will probably determine the final double life position. First place overall will be on the line tonight at 8 pm when St. Thomas (5-1) meets Kitchener Hallman Rivershark Twins (4-1).

COOLING OFF AT THE BALL PARK

Bill Addley of St. Thomas, a volunteer at the 1999 and 2005 Canadians, samples a “bubble gum” flavoured two scooper, prepared by Danielle and Robin of Shaw’s Ice Cream.

Today’s Key Game:
Battle for First Place – 8 pm tonight

Kitchener Hallman Rivershark Twins vs

ST.
