In Molson’s Senior Men’s Fastpitch at Lions Park, Kellys Pub Junior Canadians dumped Lower Path Grill & Bar 9-2 to take a two games to none lead in the best of five semi-finals. Mike Noftall was the winning pitcher. And Kellys Pub Molson Canadians got by West Side Charlie’s Bud Light 3-2 in ten innings to go up two games to none in their series. Sean Cleary pitched the win. There are two games on the Molson’s Intermediate Men’s Fastpitch playoff schedule tonight. At 6 it’s Three Cheers Pub\/Bud Light versus Trimmer Homes and at 8, Bay Roberts Rovers take on Coastal Marine and Recreation. Three Cheers and Bay Roberts lead their respective series one game to none.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Editor’s note: <\/strong>Readers may remember Mike Noftall as a member of Team Canada’s 19u national team that captured the silver medal at the ISF Jr. Worlds at Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, in the summer of 2008. Sean Cleary pitched for the St. John’s team from Newfoundland in the recent Sr. Canadians, helping his squad come within one win of the Ontario medal sweep of Kitcher\/Jarvis\/St. Thomas. St. John’s Newfoundland was dubbed the “pleasant surprise” team of the 2009 Sr. Canadians and “team of the future”.
