The announcement was made at the ISF convention in Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p>The last world championships were hosted at Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, in 2008, with Australia, Canada and Japan winning gold, silver and bronze, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Ballparkradio.com broadcast a dozen games at the 2008 ISF Jr. World Championships at Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fastpitchwest.com\/morningbrief\/?p=2668\"><strong> to over 7,000 listeners worldwide.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Parana, Argentina is about a 5 hour drive from Buenos Aires, Argentina. This was confirmed this afternoon the International Softball Federation at the World Congress is developing on Margarita Island, Venezuela. In this way, Argentina will host the World Softball Championship for the first time in its history, and it will bring to South America for the first time an event of this nature.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.softballnewsla.com\/blog\/wp-content\/congreso-isf-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The official presentation of the candidates was held yesterday morning, opposite the World Championships Committee. First was New Zealand which suggested the city of Nelson to host the World Cup, in second place was Canada, who presented the candidacy of Whitehorse, and finally it was the turn of the delegation of Argentina, who presented to the city of Parana and candidate to host 2012. There is still a long road ahead of work and effort to show the world that softball of Argentina is capable of doing great things. However, the first step, the most difficult, is given. Argentina is officially host the ISF Junior Men&#8217;s World Championship 2012. As\u00c3\u00ad lo confirm\u00c3\u00b3 esta tarde la Federaci\u00c3\u00b3n Internacional de Softbol durante el Congreso Mundial que se est\u00c3\u00a1 desarrollando en Isla Margarita, Venezuela. De esta manera, Argentina ser\u00c3\u00a1 sede de un Campeonato Mundial de Softbol por primera vez en su historia, y adem\u00c3\u00a1s traer\u00c3\u00a1 por primera vez a Sudam\u00c3\u00a9rica un evento de estas caracter\u00c3\u00adsticas.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>La presentaci\u00c3\u00b3n oficial de las candidaturas se realiz\u00c3\u00b3 ayer por la ma\u00c3\u00b1ana, frente a la Comisi\u00c3\u00b3n de Campeonatos Mundiales. En primer t\u00c3\u00a9rmino fue Nueva Zelanda la que propuso la ciudad de Nelson para organizar el Mundial; en segundo t\u00c3\u00a9rmino fue Canad\u00c3\u00a1, quien present\u00c3\u00b3 la candidatura de Whitehorse, y finalmente le toc\u00c3\u00b3 el turno a la delegaci\u00c3\u00b3n argentina, que present\u00c3\u00b3 a la ciudad de Paran\u00c3\u00a1 como candidata a ser sede en 2012. El final de la presentaci\u00c3\u00b3n argentina, que estuvo a cargo del Presidente de la Confederaci\u00c3\u00b3n Argentina de Softbol, Sr. Jacinto Cipriota, y que cont\u00c3\u00b3 con un arduo trabajo previo de miembros de la CAS y de la Asociaci\u00c3\u00b3n Paranaense de Softbol, concluy\u00c3\u00b3 con un cerrado aplauso, siendo la \u00c3\u00banica candidata en recibir ese trato por parte de los presentes.<\/p>\n<p>Esto auguraba buenas noticias para el d\u00c3\u00ada de hoy, cuando finalmente se decidir\u00c3\u00ada la sede del Mundial Juvenil Masculino. Y efectivamente, esta tarde el pleno del Congreso Mundial de la ISF confirm\u00c3\u00b3 la noticia de que Paran\u00c3\u00a1 ser\u00c3\u00a1 sede del Campeonato Mundial Juvenil 2012. Luego de la elecci\u00c3\u00b3n, que se defini\u00c3\u00b3 de forma un\u00c3\u00a1nime a favor de la capital entrerriana, lleg\u00c3\u00b3 el tiempo de las felicitaciones, los reconocimientos y la alegr\u00c3\u00ada de la delegaci\u00c3\u00b3n argentina, que recibi\u00c3\u00b3 de parte de todos los delegados presentes incontables muestras de apoyo y reconocimiento.<\/p>\n<p>Un total de quince pa\u00c3\u00adses vendr\u00c3\u00a1n a Argentina en 2012, y se sumar\u00c3\u00a1n a nuestra Selecci\u00c3\u00b3n para disputar el Campeonato Mundial Juvenil.
