45th Annual Seattle Invitational Fastpitch Tournament<\/strong><\/p>\n

[Seattle, WA]- After yielding 4 runs to the Boise Clippers in the top of the first inning, CR\/DeMarini rallied for 8 runs in the bottom of the second and went on to defeat the Clippers 9 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 6 and win the 45th Annual Seattle Invitational. The Clipper team jumped on CR\/DeMarini pitcher (Tournament MV-Pitcher) Mike Warren in the top of the first inning for 5 hits, including a Brian Stanton 3-run Home Run, to take a 4-0 lead after the first. However, the CR\/DeMarini team came back strong in the 2nd inning. With some timely hits, the CR\/DeMarini team took advantage of the struggling Clipper starting pitcher Rod Panchari (3 walks and a hit batter) to bat around the order and score 8 runs in the inning. DeMarini outfielder Rick Martin (Tournament MV-Player) knocked Panchari out of the game with a Home Run. It was his second hit of the inning after hitting a double (2B) earlier in the inning. Tournament All Star Pitcher John Clark replaced Panchari yielding only one further run in the 5th. The Clipper team fought back with runs in the 3rd inning (on Brian Stanton\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s second HR of the game) and 6th inning, but fell short as Warren struck out 6 in the last 3 innings. Warren, who got stronger as the game went along, finished with 10 K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s.<\/p>\n
