Anthony Martinez, Jason Obregon, Kevin Castillo and Issac Hernandez earn First Team All American Honors<\/p>\n

“The Young Bucks lost in the final of the winner’s bracket game to defending champions, LeMay’s, 8 – 5, but rebounded behind Anthony Martinez to defeat another strong team from Sioux City, South Dakota 9 – 2 and force a rematch with LeMay. The Championship game was a hitter’s fest that had the lead change numerous times. Anthony started the game and was relieved by Beau Brooks in the 5th inning. With the score tied at 13 in the bottom of the 7th, the Young Bucks scored the winning run and force the “if” game.<\/p>\n

However, due to a 6:00PM scheduled game time, a flight scheduled for 9:00PM and an 1:30 drive, the Young Bucks were not able to finish competing for the National Championship and were awarded the second place trophy. Anthony Martinez finished the tournament with a perfect 4 – 0 record and Beau Brooks finished with a 2 – 1 record, including the big win in the Championship game.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
