The # 5 California A’s squad shook off rust from late season inactivity to notch a win in their first game of the 2010 ISC World Tournament, 1-0 over an unheralded – but very tough #33 Staten Island, NY Adco Electric team that played in the ISC II division last year. Pitcher Greg Garrity kept the usually strong A’s offense in check most of the night.<\/p>\n
The A’s will play again Tuesday night, at 9pm EDT against western region rival, the Pueblo Bandits, who came into the World Tournament ranked # 21.
