The 19th annual Missouri Boys’ High School Fastpitch Tournament will be held this Friday and Saturday at Danner Park in Chillicothe, Missouri.<\/p>\n
There are currently 18 boys’ teams playing fastpitch in the NW corner of the state. A new bracket this year features a 13 team field.<\/p>\n
The top 3 seeds receive a bye and then join everyone else in Friday night’s second round games. See you at the ball park.<\/p>\n Eric Lewis <\/p>\n 19th Annual Coaches:<\/p>\n Congratulations on a successful softball season. Your team has earned a spot in the 2010-11 Missouri Boys State Fastpitch Softball Tournament. The tournament is comprised of the top teams in the state that play boys fastpitch softball.<\/p>\n The tournament includes 13 of the 18 teams from around the state. Representing the HDC Conference in Northern Missouri are Tri-County, North Harrison, Gilman City, Pattonsburg, Grundy County, Newtown-Harris, Winston and Mercer. Representing the PVC Conference from Northwest Missouri is Jefferson. Representing the CLAA Conference in North Central Missouri are Tina-Avalon, Hale, Meadville and Northwestern.<\/p>\n All games for the tournament will be played on October 1-2, 2010 at Danner Park in Chillicothe, Missouri. The fields are located east of the Chillicothe Country Club and south of the Green Hills Golf Course near the hospital. Games will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and conclude with the Championship at 3:00 on Saturday.<\/p>\n Newtown-Harris will be making programs for the tournament. All schools involved should e-mail Each school needs to complete their pass list and e-mail it to Eric Lewis at elewis (at) winston.k12.mo.us<\/p>\n Do not add additional adult spots to your passlist.<\/p>\n Each school is required to provide a new game ball for each game. We are looking forward to another exciting and competitive tournament this year. Special Tournament Rules are as follows:<\/p>\n Teams must have 9 players to begin a game.<\/p>\n Friday night games-the top team on the bracket shall be the home team. The top team in each bracket pairing will use the third base dugout (unless one of the teams just played on the field).<\/p>\n Games will be 7 innings. Run rules in effect- 15 after 3 or 10 after 5. Each team must supply 1 game ball for each game played in the tournament. Please bring at least 4 new game balls.<\/p>\n No infield practice between games. <\/p>\n Line-ups need to be turned in 10 minutes before the game begins. The concession stand will be provided by the Chillicothe Parks Department.<\/p>\n Admission will be $4.00 for Adults\/$3.00 for Students. Please inform your parents and supporters. The money raised will be used to pay for the umpires, trophies, and other tournament expenses. <\/p>\n School roster forms should be sent to both: Trophies and individual medals (20) will be awarded for First, Second, Third, and Fourth Places.
