It’s the longest running men’s open level<\/em> fastball tournament in the Western USA, the “Best of the West”, headed up for most of that run by David Blackburn, the Streaming Media maven of the ISC. How often do we get to play at picturesque ballfields like this one?<\/a> <\/strong>. Want to see the tournament, but don’t want to drive? Take the train. Amtrak<\/a> has a station only .7 mi from the ballpark.

Picturesque Pershing Park will hostthe 2006 Best of The West Tournament \u00c2\u2013 The 2-Field Complex is adjacent to Santa Barbara City College, located 1block from the Beach. <\/p>\n

There are <\/strong>not a lot of affordable Hotel \/ Motel rooms that will be available in Santa Barbara in that late July weekend. If you hesitate in making your team\u00c2\u2019s Motel reservations,it will be difficult to find affordable housing. <\/strong> <\/p>\n
