Click that RSS link over there on the right, or <a href=\"http:\/\/fastpitchwest.com\/morningbrief\/?page_id=24\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>RSS stands for &#8220;Rich Site Summary&#8221;, or &#8220;Real Simple Syndication&#8221;. In short, it operates to send you emails when a site like &#8220;Morning Brief&#8221; is updated. It saves you having to log into the site over and over and trying to figure out if there is anything new.  It&#8217;s like being on the private mailing list that tells you everytime something new has been posted.<\/p>\n<p>There are a variety of software programs that serve as RSS readers, but for my two cents worth, the easiest is the one that Fastpitchwest recommends for email, Mozilla Thunderbird. Thunderbird is a great email program and also serves as a RSS reader. Get it free at:<br \/>\nhttp:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/products\/thunderbird\/<\/p>\n<p>For those of you married to Outlook, here is an add-on program called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.download.com\/3000-9227_4-10365432.html\">&#8220;RSS Popper&#8221; <\/a>that will allow you to get RSS feeds via email in Outlook.<\/p>\n<p>You can get RSS of your other favorite websites, like ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and most of the major websites on the net.
