The Pueblo Bandits will take the field for their 17th consecutive season in 2004.

Like some teams the Bandits have lost a few ballplayers to other teams and retirement. But the Bandits are not ready to call it quits. These player losses prompted an agreement between myself and Arizona native / ISC Hall of Fame member Herb Wisdom which will add 4 Arizona players to the Bandits roster. These additions will will make the Bandits both deeper and stronger in 2004.

Returning from last years squad that finished 5th in the ASA Major
nationals and hoping to improve on the 2 and 2 finish at the ISC World
tournament will be Jerry Santos, Mike Santos, Shawn Vanduvall, Mark Moziejko, Mike Moziejko, Jason Shea, Brad Sprau, Randy Arellano and young Kiwi pitchers Jeremy & Regan Manley. The Bandits also have Mike Kelley coming back after a years absence and have added young players Matt Moziejko and CJ Williams for the 2004 season.

The big news for the Bandits is the agreement bringing Arizona players Cliff Wisdom, David Frank, Nick Frank and Frank Bazurto to the Bandits. Herb Wisdom will also assist the Bandits as a bench coach.

This season will be a first for the Bandits, with 3 players living in New
Mexico and 4 living in Arizona the Bandits will play locally with a very
thin line-up. But once the entire team is together on the weekends we
should be a very competitive team.

The Bandits will attempt to qualify for the ISC World tournament by playing in the ISC Western Fastpitch Alliance travel league and the ISC area tournament in Albuquerque New Mexico.

The Bandits tournament schedule is still being finalized but will include two Pueblo tournaments, the Buddy Baker Memorial April 24 & 25; Joe Santos Memorial tournament May 28,29 & 30; trips to Tubac AZ; St. George Utah; Broken Bow Invitational; ASA Major Nationals South Bend Indiana; ISC WT Fargo North Dakota. We hope to add two or maybe three additional weekends to our schedule very soon.

If any team is interested in playing in the Joe Santos Memorial tournament on May 28, 29 & 30 the Bandits are willing to return the trip to your tournament.

That is all for now from Colorado.
