A 2004 New Year's Message from Head Coach Tim Lyon:

Hello and Happy New Year.

I just wanted to give everyone an update on the USA Softball Jr. Men's
National team. We have just completed our first camp in 2004. We had
10 players out to Chula Vista, CA.

The pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together but we really
need your help in completely to puzzle.

We need a SHORTSTOP and need one now. Our next camp is in June and we have invited 19 of the 20 players. We are keeping one spot open for a shortstop. There are many good SS out there and we need your help to find him (them).

Do you have a son, nephew, neighbor, son of co-worker, etc....are you a high school coach or teacher?

We are offering a once in a lifetime experience. 17 players will
represent their country in 2005 at the World Championships in Price
Edward Island, Canada.

The ages for the next two cycles are as follows:

bullet

This cycle (World Championships in 2005) - Must be born in 1986, 87, 88

bullet

Next cycle (World Championships in 2008, shorter cycle this next time) - Must be born in 1989, 90, 91

Our next camp will be at the end of June in Chula Vista, Ca. We will
start putting our team together at that camp.  Please help the USA get back to where we belong.....on top of the medal stand.

Feel feel to call or write if you have any questions, comments or
players for us.

Thanks again for all your help.
