Since Fastpitchwest is based in Southern California, you'll excuse us if we devote an extra page here to the local boys, Team Rainey, who have stepped up their schedule in 2004 to including some of the more prestigous tournaments across the country, including "Boys of Summer" in Denmark, Wisconsin. (Similar to the coverage we did last year for the three west coast teams at the ISC, Rainey, the Bucks and Portland)

Team Rainey is in Pool A, along with County Materials, Marathon, WI IS Knights, Fargo, ND, and the Lumberjacks of Denmark, WI. County Materials is currently the # 2 ranked team in the world and could move up to # 1 after two wins over # 1 Broken Bow. The IS Knights of Fargo, North Dakota are ranked #11 while Team Rainey is #15.
