This photo was taken at Zion National Park, an easy 45 minute drive north of St. George, Utah.  It makes a great side trip if you are visiting to see the Red Rock tournament in person.  This particular shot was taken while driving through a mile long tunnel through the rocks, taken through one of the "picture windows" which workers blasted through the rock back in the 1930's.  You are driving along in virtual darkness, and all of the sudden, you see sunlight streaming into the tunnel, and are treated to this view.  Spectactular, as is the entire park. Fastpitchwest gives Zion "two thumbs up".  You need not hike to see the park, you can drive through a portion, and take their free shuttle to see the rest.
