Prospect Questionnaire (click menu button at left)

The Prospect Questionnaire is one of the tools used for selecting players who will participate in the USA Softball Jr. Men’s (19-Under) National Team Program (fast pitch softball). Following the submission of the Questionnaire, you may be contacted by one of the members of the Coaching Staff. If contacted, you will be asked to submit an approximate 5-minute videotape of your hitting/fielding and pitching (if applicable) skills. This tape will be reviewed by the Coaching Staff for consideration of your inclusion in the program.

The USA Softball Jr. Men’s National Team is made up of players born on or after January 1, 1989 (eligible for the 2008 cycle) and players born on or after January 1, 1993 (eligible for the 2012 cycle). No prior softball experience is required; many members of past USA Jr. Men’s Team have been baseball players with little or no experience playing softball. Several have went on to play both professional and college baseball after participating with the team.

The team currently trains at the ARCO US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California. All expenses including airfare, lodging, meals, and ground transportation are paid for by USA Softball. There is no cost to any individual player selected to attend any USA Softball Training Camp or Event.

Players interested in being considered for the 2008 Team should immediately respond to the Questionnaire. Evaluation camps are already underway and the selection of the final team, which will represent the United States in Whitehorse, YT, Canada, will take place over the next year.
