Game # 32 - Elimination Semi Final - Team Rainey 3, Castlewood 1

WP-Tony Peeples; LP-Steve Black
Player of the Game: Ralph Salcido, two hits, leading off innings to start rallies and scored two runs.

Team Rainey's Tony Peeples was working on a string of 20 consecutive scoreless innings, lost the shutout in the 7th, but won the game in a dominant performance, striking out 11 enroute to the semi-final win. Rainey third baseman Ralph Salcido keyed two Rainey rallies, leading off innings with a base hit, and coming home to score two of the three Rainey runs, a win that put Rainey in the Rose Cup finals for the second year in a row. For Castlewood, it was another solid showing, making the Final Four and finishing as the highest finishing ISC-II team in the tournament. It also marked their second Final Four finish in major west coast tournaments. (Red Rock last month). Watch for this squad to move up in the ISC II rankings.
