\nI am very pleased to announce the 2011 Softball BC Umpire appointments for the post-season. All umpires were selected by a four-person committee where applicants were evaluated by District Umpires-in-Chief comments, their abilities, their previous formal evaluations, the Provincial UIC and their contributions to their local and provincial umpiring programs. <\/p>\n

There may be many more opportunities and I am certain further applicants and others will be notified should Softball Canada or the Western Canada Softball Association require additional umpires at championships. Please join me in congratulating the following umpires selected to represent British Columbia at many of the prestigious events all across the country:<\/p>\n

I encourage more umpires to submit an application in 2012. In the past we have had more than double the applications received in 2011. Keep up the great work and we will see you at the ballpark!
