Sunday&#8217;s 8am games were played under scattered showers, but heavier rain caused the suspension of play mid-way through the 9:45 a.m. games at 10:30am.  After an hour rain delay, the tournament committee declared the fields un-playable and the tournament called due to rain. <\/p>\n<p>The Pala Braves were declared the Best of the West Champions for 2011, based on their 3-0 record Saturday.  The California A&#8217;s and CR A1 Rockies were also 3-0 Saturday, but Pala edged out the A&#8217;s on run-differential.  (Both Pala and the A&#8217;s surrendered one run, but Pala scored one more run, including 17 in one of their wins).<\/p>\n<p>Todd Budke of the California A&#8217;s as named the Most Valuable Player for the tournament, going 6 for 9 with 7 RBI and 2 home runs. (7 for 9 on base).
