\nThe Ontario Amatuer Softball Association Championship was won this evening by the Owen Sound Selects, by a score of 6 – 0 over the Kitchner Hallman Twins. Owen Sound opened the scoring with 3 runs in the first inning, added 2 in the third and one more in the 5th to claim the OASA Senior Fastpitch championship and enter the national championships being held in Owen Sound in late August, not only as the host team, but the Provincial Champs as well. Matt Leahy went 7 innings for the Selects, allowing Kitchener only 2 hits.<\/p>\n
