Juan Potoliccio did it again, as did his Minnesota Angel teammates Friday night. <\/p>\n

After a 20 strikeout 10 inning no-hitter to oust # 8 ranked PA Power in the wee hours Thursday night, Juan Potoliccio and the Minnesota Angels knocked off the # 2 ranked California A’s 1-0 in 10 innings, tossing a 16 strikeout 6 hitter.<\/p>\n

California had multiple scoring opportunities but could not cash any in for a run, as Potoliccio continued to turn heads at the Green Valley Softball complex in Moline, IL, besting fellow Argentine Lucas Mata. The A’s outhit the Angels, 6 to 4, including a double and single by California’s Marcus Tan, but to no avail. In the end, it was a walk, a flair single and an infield miscue that outsted the highly touted A’s, and sent the Angels to the tournament’s final four.<\/p>\n

# 9 Minnesota will attempt to extend their Cinderella run on Saturday, the final day of the tournament, in a high noon shootout with the # 6 ranked Saskatoon D-backs. The tournament’s field of teams is now down to a the final four, with the Jarvis ON Travelers the lone unbeaten team. While a double elimination format, the tournament’s championship game is a single game, winner take all.<\/p>\n
