Niagara Falls, ON, host to the 2012 ISC Qualifier, Canada East<\/figcaption><\/figure>[Niagara Falls, Ontario]- The Niagara Snappers went undefeated through the 2012 Golden Horseshoe Fastball League tournament to claim the title over the Waterdown Hammer, who were on their 5th game of the day.<\/p>\n

The Snappers rallied from a 1-0 deficit on a solo home run by Trevor Falk in the 5th. An RBI single by Peter Dobbin in the sixth put them in front to stay.<\/p>\n

Snappers pitcher Andrew Phibbs finished 4-0 and was named the winner of the Gord Newman Memorial Playoff MVP Award.<\/p>\n

The GHFL wants to thank the City of Niagara Falls grounds crew at Ker Park for getting us through torrential rain and hail on Saturday, our Blue Crew led by Adam Hook who worked with us to get all of the games in, the team reps, players, fans and volunteers who stuck with us through the horrible weather on Saturday for a great day of ball on Sunday.<\/p>\n
