Click logo for official press release.<\/figcaption><\/figure>(Ottawa, ON) Less than a month after qualifying for the event by winning the Gold medal at the Pan American Championship in Medellin, Colombia, Softball Canada is pleased to announce the list of players who will represent the Canadian Men\u2019s National Team at the ISF XIII Men\u2019s World Championship, which will take place from March 1-10, 2013in Auckland, New Zealand. The tournament will feature sixteen (16) countries that will be competing for the title of World Champions. <\/p>\n

‘The coaching staff is very excited about this team’ said Men\u2019s National Team Head Coach Don Bates. ‘We have plenty of pitching and hitting depth, very solid defence and great speed. Our goal is to be a very difficult team to play against at the World Championship and to force our opponents to make mistakes.’ <\/p>\n

Canada\u2019s roster features six players returning from the Bronze medal winning team at the 2009 ISF XII Men\u2019s World Championship held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, as well as ten players who competed at the VIII Men\u2019s Pan American Championship last month. <\/p>\n

The seventeen (17) athletes who will represent Team Canada at the ISF XIII Men\u2019s World Championship from March 1-10, 2013 in Auckland, New Zealand are: <\/p>\n
