\"Midland<\/a>The 2013 Lefty Bartos\/Lee Isenhart Memorial Tournament was played over the weekend at Emerson Park with Huron Wellness\/Stockpack taking the title with a 1-0 win over the Owen Sound Juniors in the final. Rain early Sunday morning that caused all the Sunday games to start in the 3rd inning in deference to travel time and the Father\u2019s Day holiday. <\/p>\n

Thanks to Joe Squires for handling the UIC duties this weekend and to the Midland Parks and Rec grounds crew for getting us back up and going once the clay dried on the pitchers mounds.<\/p>\n

For the 6th year in a row, the Midland Special Olympics softball team came out and played against the Explorers on Saturday afternoon. For any of the softball community who have played in the annual Special Olympics\/ISC game at the World Tournament, I don\u2019t need to explain what a great time it is. For those of you that haven\u2019t, please do so. You\u2019ll be happy that you did.<\/p>\n
