What a great weekend for softball in Hayward, CA. This year we registered 8 teams with 7 returning teams from last years event. Caballos of Hayward, CA pitchers included Derek Mayson, Eric Gonzales and Nate Devine; Kolohes of Hayward, CA pitchers included Shawn Koster, Jose Calderon and Richard “Snake’ Rivera; Bashers of East Bay, CA pitchers included Richard Haldane and Brandon Sherer; Cal State Builders of San Mateo, CA pitchers included Rob Schweyer and Brandon Peck; Maccabi USA of Philadelphia, PA pitchers included Lumar Goss, Bobby Alvarez and Dan Winnick; JNB Painting, Agoura Hills, CA pitchers included Justin Schofield, Devon McCullough and Jason Gluckman; Rhinos of Tijuana, Mexico pitchers included Mikey Colmenares, Tony Mancha and Julio Rodriguez; the Valley Import Center, Hayward CA pitchers included Jeff Farrion and Ed Gaspar <\/p>\n

With perfect softball weather conditions, teams rolled through Saturday\u2019s pool play with each team playing a set of 3 games each and Sunday featured a single elimination bracket format. . <\/p>\n

The championship game was played between Caballos of Hayward and JNB Painting of Agoura Hills, CA with Caballos finishing on top by a score of 6-3 . Congratulations to the Caballos of Hayward, CA on winning the 5th Annual championship title!
