(click to enlarge)<\/figcaption><\/figure>Editor’s note:<\/strong> Nice to see our friends from Man-O-War Key in the Bahamas (Haziel McDonald’s former squad, the Texaco Pirates) doing well in the 2013 Bahamas National Championships, including pitcher Edney Bethel and Lyle Sawyer. Congrats to all. <\/p>\n

Click here<\/a> to see Man-O-War Key in the Bahamas, perhaps the most picturesque softball field in the world. Haziel McDonald and others on Man-O-War hosted a fastpitch tournament there in 2007, where some of the world’s greatest players played for the Pirates, including New Zealand Black Sox captain Rhys Casley<\/a>, and Canada’s Robbie Schweyer and Rob Scheller, along with Americans Doug Sleep and Barry Kahler<\/em>. AAU tournament fans will remember Man-0-War stars, pitcher Edney Bethel<\/a>, Grant Albury and William Weatherford.<\/p>\n

2013 National Softball Championships Bsf Presents Awards To Deserving Athletes<\/strong><\/p>\n

#Following the completion of the men\u2019s championship game, the Bahamas Softball Federation presented the awards to the deserving athletes for their performances during the 2013 National Softball Championships held at the Banker\u2019s Field, Baillou Hills Sporting Complex, over the weekend.<\/p>\n
