{"id":24155,"date":"2014-08-06T09:15:20","date_gmt":"2014-08-06T16:15:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fastpitchwest.com\/?p=24155"},"modified":"2014-08-06T09:31:02","modified_gmt":"2014-08-06T16:31:02","slug":"u16-and-u18-canadian-nationals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fastpitchwest.com\/?p=24155","title":{"rendered":"U16 and U18 Canadian Nationals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.paherald.sk.ca\/Sports\/2014-08-05\/article-3823344\/Astros-teams-playing-at-national-championships-this-week\/1\">By Kristen McEwen, Prince Albert Daily Herald<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Astros teams playing at national championships this week<br \/>\nKristen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the prairies to the Atlantic &#8212; the Prince Albert under-16 and under-18 Astros are competing in the 2014 Fast Pitch Canadian Championships this week.<\/p>\n<p>The U-18 Astros team is competing in Gander, Nfld. from Aug. 5-10 while the U-16 team is playing in Fredericton, N.B. from Aug. 6-10.<\/p>\n<p>The U-18 team flew out to New Brunswick on Saturday and Sunday. According to coach Robyn Nagy, the players were excited to be travelling to the eastern part of the country.<\/p>\n<p>About half of the team knows what it\u2019s like to play in a larger scale tournament as some players have gone to nationals in previous years.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur veteran players know what it\u2019s going to be like,\u201d Nagy said. \u201cFor the other half of our team, it\u2019ll be a whole new experience.\u201d  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paherald.sk.ca\/Sports\/2014-08-05\/article-3823344\/Astros-teams-playing-at-national-championships-this-week\/1\">Click here to continue reading at Prince Albert Daily Herald.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Scott Willis of Fredericton, Canada says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n&#8220;Prospect Park is ready to go for this weeks U16 Canadian Championship. 12 teams from across Canada<\/p>\n<p>Come check out the Host Twins today.
