3 Cheers Pub wins Sr. Canadian national fast pitch championship
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The three-peat is complete for 3 Cheers Pub.<\/p>\n

The St. John\u2019s, N.L., squad defeated city rivals the Kelly\u2019s Pub Bulldogs 8-1 Sunday in Charlottetown in the Canadian senior men\u2019s fast pitch championship game.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what we came here to do and that\u2019s what we accomplished,\u201d said ace Sean Cleary.<\/p>\n

He was named the championship round MVP after allowing one run in winning all three games. He had 33 strikeouts and a 0.41 ERA in 17 innings.<\/p>\n

3 Cheers Pub scored in each of the five innings en route to Sunday’s victory.<\/p>\n

Jeremy O\u2019Reilly\u2019s base hit on a 1-2 count scored Ryan Boland with the winning run.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just trying to hit a line drive there and managed to put one up the middle,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was the biggest hit of my career.\u201d<\/span> <\/p>\n
