Two Pitchers Team Up As USA Men’s National Team Shuts Out Puerto Rico<\/h4>\n

USA Men’s National Team<\/a>\u00a0defeated Puerto Rico 9-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.\u00a0Duane Weiler<\/a>\u00a0induced a fly out from\u00a0Emanuel Colon<\/a>\u00a0to finish off the game.<\/p>\n

USA Men’s National Team<\/a>\u00a0secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the third inning.\u00a0USA Men’s National Team<\/a>‘s big inning was driven by a double by\u00a0Cameron Schiller<\/a>, a double by\u00a0Erick Ochoa<\/a>, a groundout by\u00a0Tyler Dudley<\/a>, a triple by\u00a0Jonathan Lynch<\/a>, and a single by\u00a0Yusef Davis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A single by\u00a0Fernando Garcia<\/a>\u00a0in the fifth inning was a positive for Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

Tony Mancha<\/a>\u00a0earned the win for\u00a0USA Men’s National Team<\/a>. He tossed four innings, surrendering zero runs, zero hits, striking out five, and walking zero.\u00a0Christian Orellano Sanchez<\/a>took the loss for Puerto Rico. He went two and a third innings, allowing five runs, and five hits.<\/p>\n

USA Men’s National Team<\/a>\u00a0collected seven hits.\u00a0Lynch<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Davis<\/a>\u00a0each collected multiple hits for\u00a0USA Men’s National Team<\/a>.\u00a0Davis<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Lynch<\/a>\u00a0each collected two hits to lead\u00a0USA Men’s National Team<\/a>.\u00a0USA Men’s National Team<\/a>\u00a0didn’t commit a single error in the field.\u00a0Nick Mullins<\/a>\u00a0had five chances in the field, the most on the team.<\/p>\n

Garcia<\/a>\u00a0went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Puerto Rico in hits.<\/p>\n
