To All:<\/b><\/p>\n

NAFA and the SCIFL are pleased to announce the eleventh edition of the \u201cLas<\/span>\u00a0Vegas<\/span>\u00a0Road<\/span>\u00a0Trip<\/span>\u201d men\u2019s fast pitch tournament. The event will be held\u00a0April 6<\/span><\/span>-8, 2018 with the first round games starting Friday at\u00a0noon<\/span><\/span>, and the Championship games scheduled for\u00a03:00 PM<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on Sunday.<\/p>\n

PLAN EARLY AND LATE<\/b><\/p>\n

Teams flying in and out should make plans to be ready to play early on Friday and late on Sunday in the event the brackets are running late.<\/p>\n

While this tournament is a NAFA sanctioned event, it is run by the SCIFL and any questions regarding this tournament must go through the SCIFL Tournament Director Jesse Ortiz.<\/p>\n

NAFA DIVISIONS<\/b><\/p>\n

Teams will be separated in the following divisions:<\/p>\n

A
\nA-Major (depending on amount of teams)
\nAA\/AA-Major (depending on the amount of teams)<\/p>\n

The split in the higher classifications will be based on the amount of teams that enter.<\/p>\n

NAFA PITCHER\u2019S LIST<\/b><\/p>\n

The NAFA pitcher\u2019s list will be used to monitor pitchers in the tournament as well as the team\u2019s current classification. No open class pitchers are allowed to pitch in these three divisions. Confirmation into the tournament will be based on the entry fee and roster being received.<\/p>\n

The classification list posted on the NAFA web site on\u00a0January 31, 2018<\/span><\/span>\u00a0will be the list used to classify pitchers. There will be no appeals for pitchers after that date for this tournament.<\/p>\n

The NAFA 3-GAME GUARANTEE BRACKET<\/b>\u00a0will be used for all divisions. With a minimum of eight (8) teams in a division, the winner will have their 2018 NAFA World Series entry fee paid for the division they played in.<\/p>\n

Teams interested in participating should contact Jesse Ortiz by email at\u00a0scifastpitch@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0or by cell at\u00a0661-510-8928<\/a>\u00a0and inform him if your team can play all three days. Teams that can play all three days will be placed on the priority list, teams that say they can only play on Saturday and Sunday will be placed on the secondary list. No one will be given a “selected” game time as everyone is traveling to the event.<\/p>\n

This tournament has been filling up quickly within the past couple of years so I would suggest you contact Jesse as soon as possible if you want to be added to the team list.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

ENTRY FEE AND REGISTRATION<\/b><\/p>\n

The entry fee for the tournament is $475, which includes the $35 Annual NAFA Team Registration Fee. We will start collecting the entry fee beginning\u00a0January 2, 2018<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and once it\u2019s received you will be sent an email to confirm your entry.<\/p>\n

Once the tournament is full, teams that have paid their entry fee will be placed on a waiting list until a team drops out or does not pay their entry fee before the deadline.<\/p>\n

All teams will need to submit their entry fee along with their team\u2019s roster, listing all their players and identifying their pitchers to ensure teams are placed in their proper classification.<\/p>\n

ARIZONA CHARLIE\u2019S BOULDER\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Please help keep the tournament cost down by booking with Arizona Charlie\u2019s and receive the following special rate.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

For the 11th year, the host hotel will once again be Arizona Charlie\u2019s Boulder. The rate will be $55 per night for Friday and Saturday and $35 for Thursday and Sunday nights, if you book directly with the hotel using their 800 number.<\/p>\n

In order to receive this rate you must book by\u00a0midnight<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of cut-off date\u00a0March 22, 2018<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Arizona Charlie\u2019s Boulder offers a casino, buffet and sit down dining along with live music in the casino bar\/lounge.<\/p>\n

SUNSET AND WARM SPRINGS PARKS<\/b><\/p>\n

Information regarding the event, game results and player statistics will be posted on this website. This year’s tournament once again will be played at Sunset Park and Warm Springs Park; both are located with 1\/4-mile of each other and are located by the\u00a0Las<\/span>\u00a0Vegas<\/span>\u00a0International Airport.<\/p>\n

Game times will be available once the tournament is filled or two weeks after\u00a0March 1, 2018<\/span><\/span>, which is when we will start working on the schedule.<\/p>\n
