OKLAHOMA CITY \u2014 USA Softball is proud to field an inaugural USA Softball Men\u2019s Fast Pitch Futures Team that will compete at the 66th Annual Elkland Labor Day Tournament.\u00a0 Eleven athletes have been named to the roster while the team will be led by Vahram Mateosian (Montvale, N.J.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019d like to thank the coaches, athletes and sponsors who have invested in our Men\u2019s Fast Pitch program, and we are excited to be able to provide this additional opportunity for athletes to represent USA Softball,\u201d said USA Softball Executive Director, Craig Cress.\u00a0 \u201cThere has been a gap of opportunities between our Junior Men\u2019s and Men\u2019s teams and this provides us with the opportunity to develop and evaluate the talent we have with the coaches.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held August 31-September 3 in Elkland, Pa., athletes selected to the team have previous experience with USA Softball on either the Men\u2019s Fast Pitch National Team (MNT), Junior Men\u2019s National Team (JMNT), have participated at a JMNT Exposure Camp, the USA Softball Men\u2019s Major Fast Pitch National Championship or the USA Softball Men\u2019s Fast Pitch National Invitational Tournament (NIT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The schedule for the 66th Annual Elkland Labor Day Classic will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
