SCIFL\n and NAFA are pleased to announce the thirteenth edition of the \u201cLas \nVegas Road Trip\u201d men\u2019s fast pitch tournament. The event will be held \nApril 3-5, 2020 with the first round games starting Friday at noon, and \nthe Championship games scheduled for 3:00 PM on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PLAN EARLY AND LATE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teams\n flying in and out should make plans to be ready to play early on Friday\n and late on Sunday in the event the brackets are running late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While\n this tournament is a NAFA sanctioned event, it is run by SCIFL; any \nquestions regarding this tournament must go through the SCIFL Tournament\n Director Jesse Ortiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NAFA DIVISIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teams will be separated in the following divisions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A
A-Major (depending on amount of teams)
AA\/AA-Major (depending on the amount of teams)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The split in the higher classifications will be based on the amount of teams that enter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NAFA PITCHER\u2019S LIST<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n NAFA pitcher\u2019s list will be used to monitor pitchers in the tournament \nas well as the team\u2019s current classification. No open class pitchers are\n allowed to pitch in these three divisions. Confirmation into the \ntournament will be based on the entry fee and roster received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n classification list posted on the NAFA web site as of January 31, 2020 \nwill be used to classify pitchers. There will be no appeals for pitchers\n after that date for this tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NAFA 3-GAME GUARANTEE BRACKET<\/strong> will be used for all divisions with no \u201cIF\u201d games<\/strong>.\n With a minimum of eight (8) teams in a division, the winner will have \ntheir 2020 NAFA World Series entry fee paid for the division they played\n in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teams interested in participating should contact Jesse Ortiz by email at scifastpitch (at) gmail.com<\/a>\n or by cell at (661) 510-8928 and inform him if your team can play all \nthree days. Teams that can play all three days will be placed on the \npriority list, teams that say they can only play on Saturday and Sunday \nwill be placed on the secondary list. No one will be given a “selected” \ngame time as everyone is traveling to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOW IT WORKS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\n are accepting a maximum of 50 teams which will be placed on a team \ninterested list as first come first serve basis. Once the tournament is \nfull, additional teams will be added to the waiting list and if they pay\n their entry fee (in full) they will have an opportunity to participate \nif a team drops out or does not pay by the due date. If a team on the \nwaiting list pays their entry fee and is not able to get in, their entry\n fee will be refunded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This tournament \nhas been filling up quickly within the past several years so I would \nsuggest you contact Jesse as soon as possible if you want to be added to\n the interested team list because as of this post there are 38 teams out\n of 50 on the list.

ENTRY FEE AND REGISTRATION
<\/strong>
The\n entry fee for the tournament is $585, which includes the $35 Annual \nNAFA Team Registration Fee. We will start collecting the entry fee \nbeginning January 2, 2020 and once it\u2019s received you will be sent an \nemail to confirm your entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All teams will need to submit their \nentry fee along with their team\u2019s roster, listing all their players and \nidentifying their pitchers to ensure teams are placed in their proper \nclassification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUE DATE
<\/strong>
If\n money is not received by March 1, 2020, a team may lose their spot to a\n team on the waiting list who has paid their entry fee. This due date \nprovides teams on the waiting list sufficient time to make appropriate \narrangements to participate, if they get in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ARIZONA CHARLIE\u2019S BOULDER
<\/strong>
Please help keep the tournament cost down by booking with Arizona Charlie\u2019s and receive the following special rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For\n the 13th year, the host hotel will once again be Arizona Charlie\u2019s \nBoulder. There will be a select number of rooms at a special rate of $70\n per night for Friday and Saturday and $40 for Thursday and Sunday \nnights if you book directly with the hotel using their 800 number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\n special rate goes quickly so try to book your rooms as soon as possible\n because once the selected number of rooms book, any additional rooms \navailable will be reverted back to the hotel\u2019s going rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to receive this rate you must book by midnight of cut-off date March 19, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arizona Charlie\u2019s Boulder<\/em> offers a casino, buffet and sit down dining along with live music in the casino bar\/lounge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUNSET AND WARM SPRINGS PARKS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information\n regarding the event, game results and player statistics will be posted \non the SCIFL website. This year’s tournament once again will be played \nat Sunset Park and Warm Springs Park; both are located within 1\/4-mile \nof each other and are located by the Las Vegas International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Game times will be available once the tournament is filled and everyone has paid their entry fee or two weeks before the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
