Originally scheduled to be held in South Bend, Ind., the relocation is due to anticipated restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. With the relocation to Oklahoma City, the dates for the premier men’s fast pitch National Championship have also been adjusted to now take place August 20-23, 2020.

“We are excited to bring this prestigious National Championship to the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex,” said USA Softball Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Craig Cress. “The Men’s Major Fast Pitch National Championship has such a storied history within our organization and adding an event of this caliber to the lineup of events that will be held this year at our newly-renovated facility is going to be special. We look forward to welcoming the teams to our home here in Oklahoma City.” The Men’s Major Fast Pitch National Championship dates back to 1933 when USA Softball, known then as the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America, was founded during the World’s Fair in Chicago, Ill. This will mark the first time that the Men’s Major Fast Pitch National Championship will be played at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex in the venue’s 33-year history. It also marks the first time since the 2018 Men’s Masters 50-Over Fast Pitch National Championship that a men’s fast pitch event will be held at the facility.
